Our Technology

We have invested in digital technologies, including:

CBCT

LArge Field CBCT

Have you been told you have TMJ/TMD disorder? We can image your Jaw joints to detect degenerative changes. We use the same technology to image your airway to detect constriction or abnormalities that may be the cause of your Sleep Apnea, Snoring, and even bad breath from Tonsil stones.

Digital Scanner

Let’s face it — it’s not easy to stop your gag reflex when getting a goop-filled dental impression made! Thankfully, old-school impressions are no longer the only option. Our digital scanner allows us to take an impression—a highly accurate, digital 3D image of the individual characteristics of your teeth and gums, without the gooey mess, the bad taste, or discomfort.  North Island Dental is one of the first 100 clinics in the world to purchase the brand-new Medit i700 Intraoral scanner.

Intraoral Cameras

Intra-oral imaging gives you a detailed view of your teeth in pictures and videos.

A hand-held wand quickly captures the details of your teeth and gums. In fact, even small cracks that often lead to broken teeth appear vividly with the click of a button.

Have you seen a dentist and been told you suddenly have a bunch of cavities and to take them on their word? We believe you should have the right to clearly see your dental condition and choose the best treatment for you. We can explain the need for treatment more clearly by showing you what is present inside your mouth.

Digital Xrays

Digital sensors capture detailed x-ray images with a fraction of the exposure found in traditional film x-rays. Digital XRays have the benefit of:

Safety - Although traditional dental films require minimal radiation for image development, our digital x-ray system provides unsurpassed safety: up to 90% reduction in radiation compared to older film-based systems.

Time Savings – Images captured instantly lessens the time you spend in the dental chair.

Better Outcomes - Improved image clarity increases the doctors ability to better diagnose and treat conditions.
